~ Catholic Schoolhouse Overview ~

Catholic Schoolhouse is a supplemental program designed to help home school families enrich their educational experience through a flexible approach to learning inspired by classical elements, presented in a structured environment.

The Classical Model for education is that which approaches all knowledge and understanding of subject matter as it is expressed in “truth, goodness and beauty.” It is built upon the classical pattern of the “trivium.” or the three part process for training the mind, divided into stages: the grammar stage, the dialectic stage, and the rhetoric stage.

Children from 4 years old to 11 years study the same topics in the grammar program, delving deeper into the material as they grow older.

Dialectic and Rhetoric stage students have opportunities for discussion, logic development, and speaking, while staying focused on fine arts and history time periods, keeping with the tour guide to facilitate family cohesiveness. Our upper level program is a place for your high school student to engage in group discussions and engaging interactions of classical learning as well as a full program to use in your homeschool.
